CONFIDENTIALITY REQUIREMENTS:

We are well aware of the confidentiality requirement such as HIPAA regulations when we are dealing with healthcare records. Hence we treat the Medical Records with utmost confidentiality, at the same time, securely keeping proper backups of our voice files and documents.

THE TRAINING

We believe that a Transcription Company’s foundation lies on the quality of training imparted to its associates. Our MTs are recruited after undergoing very strict selection processes which include various levels of screening tests such as tests in English, grammar, general aptitude, and listening/comprehension skills. They are taught and trained by experienced faculty/professionals from the industry who are always willing to share their knowledge and expertise to enhance the skills of the trainees.

The scheduled duration of the training program is six months which are extended, as and when required, depending on the performance of the candidates. Subsequently the trainees are exposed to on-the-job training where they are exposed to real live production atmosphere. Our trainees go through a rigorous training program consisting of intensive coverage of theoretical as well as practical curricula. The training schedule includes study of medical terminology, basic rules of transcription, American English, grammar, punctuation, phonetics, slangs, idioms and phrases as well as development of typing skills and indispensable tips for using MS Word. AAMT guidelines are strictly adhered to in our training program.
Reference books available to students for reference include Language of Medicine, Stedman’s series, Quick Look Electronic Drug Reference, AAMT rules, Dos and Don’ts, etc.

As a part of the Practical Training Curricula, the students are exposed to Ettinger and Ettinger tapes and dummy live tapes from all the disciplines.

THE INFRASTRUCTURE

Nathaan Meditrans’ state-of-the-art production facility is situated in the heart of Palakkad Town easily accessible by Bus and Train. We have over 2000 sq feet of work space located in the middle of the city with calm and serene atmosphere suitable for peaceful work. We have a spacious production facility with latest computers, software, hardware, and other equipment required to provide quality medical transcription services, as follows:

• 60 modern computers and peripherals (Pentium IV 2.8 GHz or equivalent)
• State of the art internet broadband connectivity (BSNL)
• Uninterrupted power supply units-20 KV with 6 hour backup.
• Three button foot pedal (Argee Equipment).
• Medical dictionaries-Stedman’s, version-6.0 with spell checker
• Drug index-Quick look 2005

TECHNICAL ASPECTS

Our Production Facility consists of a highly powerful server connected to the Workstations on a Local Area Network. We have the flexibility of using any Transcription Software as per the client’s requirements.

For downloading we are using software such as Cute FTP and Core FTP, We are experience e-Scription,Dictphone, BeyondText, ATSI, Apex and DocQscribe Platforms.

We have the flexibility to use various types of voice file players such as ScribeAid, JoyScribe, Medipro, WavePedal, etc. which give us the option of playing any kind of Voice File Format. To improve and enhance the productivity standards we are using latest Foot Pedals, which are compatible with all of the above-mentioned software.

We are using MSOffice 2000 as our Text Editor with latest Stedman’s Medical Spell Checker and Webster’s English Dictionary.
